Dear Subscribers,

I am so thrilled to announce I’ll be participating in @ART64TOSA, presented by @NorthShoreBank! This live painting tournament will be in @DiscoverWauwatosa on June 7-8, and I’ll be competing against 63 other amazing artists for the $20,000 grand prize. This is a wonderful opportunity for me to showcase my artistic skills and compete with talented artists from around the States.

I am sponsored by University of ST Thomas, Undergraduate Reseach Opportunity Programs to attend this Tournament.

Overview about the Contest:

Discover Wauwatosa seeks 64 artists to participate in ART 64, a multi-day, interactive performance painting bracket-style tournament taking place in various locations and businesses.

In three (3) rounds taking place June 7-8, 2024 (rain date on June 9, 2024) artists will be paired to go head-to-head within the given timeframe to create a work of art on a predetermined theme on canvas.

Members of the public, both in-person and virtually, will be invited to watch the paintings come to life and vote for their favorite artists online.

• Round 1: Artist Choice - Artists paint whatever subject (and in whatever style) they want!

• Round 2: Nature - Artists paint a subject found in or around nature, including flora, fauna, landscapes, urban environments, etc.

• Final Round: Origin - Artists paint their interpretation of where they came out from; their community, culture, childhood, surmounted obstacles, or inspiration.

Mark Your Calendars: June 7th and June 8th

The voting process for the Art64 tournament will take place virtually, and I kindly request you to mark your calendars for June 7th and June 8th. These two days are crucial, as voting will be open during this time.

Timings:

• Friday, June 7th, 2024 from 5:00-8:00PM

• Saturday, June 8th, 2024 from 10:00AM-5:00PM

How to Vote

Voting for the Art64 tournament is a simple and straightforward process. Here's how you can support me:

1. Subscribe to my website or follow my Instagram.

2. Use this link Vote — ART 64 to vote for me.

3. I am Artist number -040 Melissa Rajamanuvel.

4. Round 1: There will be 64 artworks in total, and 32 pairs of art. You need to vote for one artwork in each pair.

   Round 2: There will be 32 artworks in total, 16 pairs of art. You need to vote for one artwork in each pair.

   Round 3: There will be 16 artworks in total, and you need to choose only one this time.

   I will send updates on what art I made during the live tournament. The voting period for each round is 30 to 60minutes.

5. Once you have decided to support me, click on the "Vote" button next to my artwork.

6. You may be asked to provide your email address to verify your vote.

7. Follow the prompts to complete the voting process.

Voting Process:

• ART 64 audience members, both in-person and virtual, will be able to vote online for their favorite artists and artworks per pairing in the tournament.

  • All votes are counted by Discover Wauwatosa and its vendors.

  • All votes are final and cannot be appealed.

  • In the event of a tie during round 1, a coin toss will determine the advancing artist. In the event of a tie during rounds 2-3, votes will be tallied from the artists' previous rounds and the artist with the most overall votes throughout the competition will win that matchup.

  • Artists who are not present for their pairing during the tournament are automatically disqualified and removed from the competition. In this case, the paired artist must still paint and can receive votes, but will automatically advance.
